IberoDocs showcases Latin-American, Portuguese and Spanish movie-makers’ work for Scotland, with a focus on documentary films.
This year’s Festival of outstanding Ibero-American production is necessarily restricted. Details of the celebration of the cultures of these cinematographers’ lands and peoples are available by downloading the Programme at https://www.iberodocs.org/programme-2021.

Volunteer Edinburgh offers a range of services to help all the communities in Edinburgh. Some of those services are training courses, volunteering opportunities, job vacancies, etc. Register online to receive more useful information, or visit their office on Leith Walk.

The Edinburgh University Latin American Society represents students from Latin America who live in Edinburgh while studying. They offer a wide variety of events, and conferences related to present-day topics from Latin America.

CANCELLED: Quechua Workshop
Quechua is a language spoken by about 10 million people in Latin America in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Colombia. It is a native language of Latin America and is currently facing issues of transmission to the next generation.
The workshop will be held by Christian Cervantes, a Peruvian writer. He is currently doing an Msc in Public Policy at UoE sponsored by the Peruvian National scholarship President of the Republic 2019.
Join us to learn about this language and pick up some basic phrases!
The workshop will be divided into two parts. The first part will be about the history, and culture of the language and the second part will be about the language itself; some useful phrases and a little taster sash of the language.
PS: Did you know that Quechua language reached Hollywood?
The event is free and will be held in David Hume Tower, Room 7.18. You do not have to be a Spanish speaker to attend this event.
